About Nicole Prendergast
Nicole is a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist, and a Fellow with the Colleges of Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists. She has over two decades of experience as a Psychologist and has a clinic located on the Northern Gold Coast.

Nicole has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of complex mental health disorders in children, adolescents and adults.
In relation to her clinical treatment modalities, Nicole incorporates principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Therapy (ACT), that is client centred.
Nicole is a National Facilitator for the Black Dog Institute providing evidence based clinical programs to Psychologists, School Psychologists, Teachers, Guidance Officers, and GPs. She has delivered workplace programs to support wellbeing and executive briefings (e.g., managing wellbeing in the workplace, understanding mental health, resilience in the workplace, problem solving) and has also supervised GPs in the application of CBT.
In relation to her organisational psychology repertoire, Nicole has experience performing workplace assessments, including fitness for work, suitable duties plans, factual workplace investigations, mediations, organisational reviews and coaching for senior and middle management.

Our focus is to provide comprehensive neuropsychological and clinical assessments that are tailored dependent on the referral question.
A Neuropsychological assessment provides a detailed profile of an individual’s strengths and weaknesses and is recognised as a sensitive tool for the diagnosis of cognitive impairment. It helps with diagnosis and treatment planning for people experiencing difficulties with memory, attention, language or other aspects of cognition or behaviour. Assessment involves a clinical interview and a range of individually administered tests. They can range from brief consultations to detailed comprehensive evaluations involving several hours of face-to-face contact. The results of the assessment are then used to assist with developing individual treatment recommendations or plans.
Current assessment services include assessment of intellectual disability, learning disorders, ADHD, and those that have experienced various types of acquired brain injury subsequent to trauma, stroke, substance abuse and neurodegenerative disorders such as dementia and assessment of capacity.
Assessment and treatment services also are available through the National Insurance Disability Scheme (NDIS) and WorkCover.
Workplace assessment services include independent clinical assessment, fitness for duty and clinical recommendations to support the workplace in supporting their employee.
Referrals are accepted for neuropsychology assessment and treatment via email or Medical Objects.
